Why America isn’t the Greatest Country in the World Anymore

Look and be inspired. It doens’t matter where you come from, or what religion you have. You are human… Like everyone else. If you got hit by a car, you will have the same amount of pain when someone else gets hit by a car. And when you shit, it smells, like it smells when everybody else takes a shit… Never forget that.

Power, money and religion are terrible inventions of human kind. Although I believe, that every good believer, is a good human being. Whether you are moslim, christian, non-believer, … doesn’t matter. If your heart is right, you are right.

Just Live Already

Everyday the pressure to SUCCEED, PRESSURE TO SUCCEED, is causing us ‘Burn Out’s’ , ‘stress we cannot handle’, ‘our bosses – who just don’t understand that everyone is overstressed because of the many job reductions and too much workload for everything that isn’t outsourced just yet to China (or whatever)’.

But in the end, you’ll come to a point in your life whereas you will feel that you achieved almost everything that your parents (or anyone else) ever said you should achieve. Then What? Why don’t enjoy your life NOW, this specific moment, just single moment and just f*ck what everyone thinks you should do. Be happy. Live and don’t let other people live you! Always remember that. Because in the end, it is YOU that should be HAPPY ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY! ONLY YOU!

Pay It Forward – The Move

Count your many blessings, name them one by one

My father told me the following story and asked me to always remember it esp during tough times.

Once upon a time, an angel and his follower went to a small town.  It was  late night and raining so they asked someone in the town for shelter. That person gave them shelter but  was rude and put them in his basement which was leaking and it was very cold there. Angel repaired the basement, thanked the man for providing shelter and left in the morning.Another day, angel and his follower went to some other town and it started raining again.

They again asked someone for shelter. This time, the host was a poor man and had a very small house. He offered his only room to the angel and his follower and he himself slept outside the room. Next morning angle’s follower saw that the poor man’s cow who was the only source of income was dead. Angel’s follower was so confused. He asked the angel ” The other man was so rude to you still you repaired his basement and his poor man was so good to you still you killed his only source of income??”. Angle replied “This poor man was destined to die today but because of his good deeds, he was saved and instead his cow was taken. Its all fair in this system. We all reap what we sow”———–When we all face tough situations, we get so angry and feel so bad for what happened without realizing that it could have been worse. I personally believe that God does the best he can and rest we all get what we sow. Two things I learned from this story:

  • Irrespective of what we have done in the past and what we are doing now, the best way to make things BETTER is to start doing good karma from this moment on.
  • Always count your blessings and feel grateful because things could have been worse

Just try this exercise of writing every small thing God has given you and you will have  a smile on your face and joy in your heart for sure.Life is beautiful. Be grateful for the life you have been given!

Here we go… (Can you relate with it?)

People have never felt the need to achieve more intrinsically and spiritually than they do today. For many of us, living life doesn’t simply mean taking care of our most basic, primitive, and physiological needs. It’s about so much more than that. As we become more advanced, our needs advance with us, we strive for happiness, peace, self-awareness, and even self-actualization. Unfortunately, many people do not reach any of these states of mind, leaving themselves with nothing but stress, frustration and a sense of hopelessness.

People are amazing

After the bombing in Boston, a really touching video act during the Britain’s got Talent show.

We should never forget that people can also create beauty… We should communicate those moments so much that it becomes ridiculous… and we should be on mute when it comes to evil acts of mankind. Because that is what evil wants, publicity!

We should not let it win!
Celebrate people!!! Love them!

Helen Keller

There were barriers still, it is true, but barriers that could in time be swept away

Helen Keller lived in a world of “white darkness.” Born in Alabama in 1880, she was a year and a half old when a case of scarlet fever or meningitis left her deaf and blind. She made signs and gestures, but her inability to truly communicate often left her a frustrated and angry child. Once she locked her mother in the pantry for three hours, and another time threw her baby sister out of a cradle.

When Helen was seven, her parents hired Anne Sullivan to be Helen’s tutor. Helen learned the manual alphabet and some words, and for a month Helen signed words without knowing what they meant. One day Anne held Helen’s hand under a water pump while signing “water.” Helen suddenly realized that the motions of her fingers had meanings. “That living word awakened my soul, gave it light, hope, joy, set it free!” she later said. “There were barriers still, it is true, but barriers that could in time be swept away.”

During the next decade, Helen worked on sweeping away those barriers. She learned to read Braille, to read lips, and to write in normal script. Eventually she learned how to speak. She attended schools for the deaf and blind, and, later, mainstream schools. It took Helen longer than her classmates to study, but she excelled. She wrote her memoirs, The Story of My Life, at age 21, the first of almost a dozen books during her lifetime. She graduated from Radcliffe College, the women’s counterpart to Harvard University, in 1904: the first deaf and blind person to graduate from a college.

Helen also learned to paddle a canoe, ride a horse and a tandem bicycle, and play chess and checkers. She traveled the country as a lecturer, and until 1922 she even performed in vaudeville shows.

By the age of 24, Helen Keller was already more accomplished and famous than any other deaf and blind person in modern history. But she also had a keen sense of the needs and suffering of others. Having “swept away” her own barriers as much as she could, she began to focus on doing the same for others.

Helen Keller believed in equal rights and economic opportunities for all people. She became involved with the Women’s Suffrage movement, the Socialist movement, and labor unions. In 1917 she founded an organization that would later become Helen Keller International to prevent and treat blindness in impoverished nations. This organization still operates in 23 countries. Helen Keller joined the American Foundation for the Blind in 1924 and advocated for policy and technology to allow the blind to live fuller lives. During her lifetime she traveled to 35 countries on five continents. Her visits inspired blind citizens, but also prompted legal and social changes that improved conditions for them.

Helen Keller died in Easton, Connecticut in 1968, a few weeks short of her 88th birthday. In her life she had reached far beyond her own darkness to shape a more compassionate future for the world. As Senator Lister Hill of Alabama said in her eulogy, “Her spirit will endure as long as man can read and stories can be told of the woman who showed the world there are no boundaries to courage and faith.”
